During the May 9, 2025, Rochester Broadway Theatre League (RBTL) Stars of Tomorrow gala, students from Mendon and Sutherland High Schools received numerous awards for their roles in theater productions over the 2024-25 School Year. MHS and SHS were among 48 schools evaluated and recognized for their efforts. Among the honors achieved were Recognition for Excellence in Acting, Vocal, Dance, Production, Orchestra.

Congratulations to our winter athletes who completed the 2024-25 season with five team Section V titles, eight individual Section V titles and numerous All State, All County and All Greater Rochester athletes. Team Section V champions included Pittsford Girls Alpine, Pittsford Ice Hockey, Pittsford Boys Swimming & Diving, MHS Boys Indoor Track and Field, and SHS Girls Basketball. Individual Section V winners included Pittsford Wrestling champion Zach Gerby and Pittsford Boys Swimming & Diving champions Elliott Cunniffe, Kosta Oluic, Rigo Cunningham, Gage Van Quekelberg, Billy Sanderson, Michael Kusch, and Calvin Braun. For the 10th year in a row, Mendon High School has taken home the Gold Medal at the Pre-college Statistical Data Analysis Challenge hosted by RIT. Competing against 17 talented teams, Mendon students earned Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards. Since the competition began in 2016, Mendon has held the top spot every year, demonstrating a legacy of excellence in statistical analysis.

Congratulations to Mendon High School seniors Ava Gustafson and Vivian VanDamme who were awarded Silver 2025 Graduating Senior Awards by U.S. Figure Skating in recognition of their hard work to pursue figure skating while successfully maintaining academics during high school.
Residents of the Pittsford Central School District will be voting at a new location – Calkins Road Middle School – on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, on the school district’s 2025-2026 school district budget. Here’s what’s on the ballot:
- Proposed budget of $168,218,102 which is within the Tax Cap and preserves current programming
- 3.97% budget increase
- 2.34% Tax levy increase
- Authorization to withdraw $2,419,162 from the “Capital Reserve Fund – Purchase of Buses” (savings account)
- Will not result in additional taxes or issuance of debt
- Authorization to withdraw no more than $500,000 from the “Capital Reserve Fund – Instructional Technology” (savings account)
- Will not result in additional taxes or issuance of debt
- Three Board of Education candidates are running for two seats

June 4 - No longer an exam day. School is in session for ALL grades.
June 10 - Regents Exams. Grades 9-12 report for exams only. School is in session for grades K-8.
June 11 - Regents Exams. School in session for ALL grades.
June 17-18 - Regents Exams. Grades 9-12 report for exams only. School is in session for grades K-8.
June 20 - Regents Exams. Grades 9-12 report for exams only. School is in session for grades K-8.
June 23 and 24 - Regents Exams. Grades 9-12 report for exams only. School is in session full day for grades K-5. Grades 6-8 have half-day dismissal at 10 a.m.
June 25 - Regents Exam. Grades 9-12 report for exams only. There is no school for grades K-8.
